JS…KS Percussion Duo is comprised of Kramer Sell and Joseph Spearman. The two met while in graduate school at Belmont University and became fast friends due to their shared love of drumming, teaching, and the Nintendo 64.

Going their separate ways after Joseph’s graduation from Belmont, the two would reunite for Kramer’s master’s recital in the Summer of 2021. Thus, JS…KS Percussion Duo began, starting off with performances of standard works for percussion duo and original works by Kramer and Joseph.

Currently, the duo’s repertoire consists of a variety of original works for percussion duo written or adapted by Joseph and Kramer. Their recitals consist of a multitude of styles of music, and often incorporate other forms of media including electronics and spoken word. JS…KS Percussion Duo has presented recitals and clinics at various universities and schools including High Point University, Fayetteville State University, Shaw University, Belmont University, The Ohio State University, and Capital University.
